Groom's Cake was a fine Sourthern tradition born from the groom's desire to share devil's food cake with his friends. They woud get away or escape to the parlor to take a drink, smoke a cigar, and eat chocolate cake.

Now a days, the groom's cake has taken on a life of its own. It can be elegant, humorous, or tailored to the groom's interest. It can be served at the wedding or the rehearsal dinner; or not served at all.
